1. No, only MileSAAver is valid
2. Yes, it is allowed. If you want 15 segments in economy and 1 segment in biz, I'm sure AA would be happy to charge you the biz price
. Happens frequently for those booking awards in first, when not all flights offer first. Then, flights must be booked in biz or economy.
