Changes to mileage accumulation on Air Canada rouge

Hi everyone

We have some exciting news about changes to how you’ll earn miles on flights operated by our leisure airline, Air Canada rouge.

For travel as of November 28, 2013, the percentage of Aeroplan Miles and Altitude Qualifying Miles you’ll earn on flights operated by Air Canada rouge will be aligned with the percentage you currently earn on flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Express. This means you’ll earn miles as follows:
  • Premium rouge (flights to Europe): 125% Aeroplan Miles / Altitude Qualifying Miles
  • Premium rouge (flights to the U.S. & Sun destinations): 150% Aeroplan Miles / Altitude Qualifying Miles
  • Latitude (all flights): 125% Aeroplan Miles / Altitude Qualifying Miles
  • Flex (all flights): 100% Aeroplan Miles / Altitude Qualifying Miles
  • Tango (all flights): 50% Aeroplan Miles / Altitude Qualifying Miles
It’s worth mentioning that this improved mileage earning will apply regardless of when you booked your ticket for travel on Air Canada rouge.

Also, with the launch of Premium rouge service on flights to the U.S. and Sun destinations for the winter schedule, take note that you will be able to request an upgrade to Premium rouge with the purchase of a Latitude or Flex fare. (Elite 75K and Super Elite 100K members may be eligible to request an upgrade on a standby basis at time of check-in for additional fare types, as part of their privilege which permits eUpgrades on Air Canada Vacations Reservations to Sun destinations.)

For the moment, eUpgrades to Premium rouge service on flights to Europe are still not possible.

We’ll keep you posted on any other changes to Air Canada rouge.
