We (me and my wife) are planning to fly in January from Vieques to Miami, via SJU.

One of the benefits of One World Sapphire is meant to be Main Cabin Extra and free baggage for the card holder and their partner if travelling with them.

(We have also just joined AA, but are on the bottom rung)

We put in our AAdvantage number on the web site (I know, shouldn't have, should have put in the CX number), thinking we could put in my wife's CX number later.

Of course, nothing happened. So we called AA and the chap in Tucson was very helpful and got us to pout the reservation on hold, brought it up, changed the FF number to CX and then said: there is a problem.

CX are telling our computer that you have no status: no even ruby.

So call CX.

So we did, and CX say it is all fine at there end.

Of course, on the day, my wife can just show the card at the airport.

But booking main cabin extra too would be fabulous!
