Anyways, this is a debate about a point that was a tangent to the topic on hand.

There is no difference in the food, especially produce, meat, and dairy. In fact, they often come the exact same distributors and trucks. Packaged products, sure. Apples, oranges, bananas, milk, etc. Nope, it's the same. Hence being commodity.
The example is not tangent, the discussion turned to why people chose to go with one company versus another that offers an identical product. We all have our own personal reasons to make the choices that we do.
It's a tradeoff.
