I'd need 40K*2 Alaska miles for two of us, which will be 65K MR (since you get a bonus of 5K for every 20K SPG transfer). Its 32.5 MR per person in place of 45K avios. Ideally, I would've loved to use Avios but can't seem to find a way to use them with my restricted dates.
No no no no no.
MR transfers to SPG at a 3:1 (!) ratio. Then SPG to AS at 1:1. So if you need 80k AS miles, that would require 65k SPG. But 65k SPG requires 195k MR.
