In this case, wouldn't MR transfer to SPG to Alaska be better?
I'd need 40K*2 Alaska miles for two of us, which will be 65K MR (since you get a bonus of 5K for every 20K SPG transfer). Its 32.5 MR per person in place of 45K avios. Ideally, I would've loved to use Avios but can't seem to find a way to use them with my restricted dates.
