Hmm - I added a card to my Amex online services account today. I first activated the card, then followed the instructions for registering for online services. At the point where it asks you to create a uid there is an option to log in with an existing uid so you can do that. All the cards then appear together on online services under one uid. I suspect that you can't add the card before you've actually received it...
