Is redemption of Hertz Points really THAT bad?

I saw the thread on devaluation, but I am afraid I am doing something wrong because it can't be as bad as the website is making it seem for me.

I am attempting to do a one-week rental (July 19-26) from ANC. My 30 YTD rentals have only netted me about 3100 pts.

The website is saying I have enough points for TWO days for a compact? Am I doing something wrong? The website chart shows 2700 for a one-week rental.

Sorry for such a newb question--but when it comes to redeeming these I am totally lost relative to Flight and Hotel.
