To answer the question, yes, most likely you're bag will be opened. In my experience the Europeans are even bigger sticklers about electronics than the TSA. I've had to put a kindle and ipad in a separate tray and turn them on going thru LHR and FRA while in the US I can just leave them in my bag.
In Europe, checked bags are not opened by security. If the scans is sufficiently suspect, they'll page the passenger. Of course, this does not apply to those who are dishonest and open bags to pilfer...

Carry-on is a totally different story.
