Greetings!

Part quandry, part challenge. To give some direction, my goal is to maximize the one free stopover, and open jaws (but only if it helps lower the overall fee's OR there's a really good reason to fly from that airport). Base airport is SAN, but willing to travel to LAX if need be. Any cabin is fine, presumably the cheapest available with saver awards. Any destination in the world is fine (although currently leaning towards bouncing around Europe/Icleand, or NY to Tokyo). Time frame would be 1-2 weeks during summer 2014. Key thing is to maximize the award before the devaluation and keep the associated fee's as low as possible.

I have some example routes that I'm thinking of going down, but I'm curious to see what seasoned professionals would recommend. Looking forward to any and all advice! And if I happen to book your suggested itinerary, I'll send you a thank you gift!
