Is it possible to "force" in an airport change on an award ticket? My situation is I'd like to go from BOS-DPS. The best available award routing for my dates WOULD be BOS-JFK-TPE-DPS, however BOS-JFK has no non stop service on United or its partners.

Is there a way to fly BOS-EWR and then out of JFK without it being considered an open jaw? I notice that international flights often have airport changes built into itineraries when I search, just not sure if it's possible to force into an itinerary...
