I rarely spend more than 3 nights in a hotel, often I will just do an overnight. I guess it depends on how much emphasis you put on the destination. I just head to a city and hang out - explore local shops and restaurants. I tend not to get into the touristy things so much. But then I travel because I like the traveling part just as much as the destination. Leave Friday night, com back Sunday.
