Why should there be any difference between SPG and Hyatt?

The industry has suffered massively over the last couple of years and the results have been obvious.

The US represents the valley bottom in various aspects of the travel industry and the food offered in club lounges and for breakfast in restaurants is no exception.

In Europe and Asia, the quality of food is significantly higher, but again hardly any difference between SPG and Hyatt on a grand scale.

If you break it down to the actual brands, one might be able to see differences, but then again, there are many exceptions and also many threads about the subject.

If you want a detailed overview, I suggest you inquire about specific markets or hotels, a generic comparison between Hyatt and SPG does not make too much sense.

One example:

The Sheraton Frankfurt Airport beats all US Hyatt properties by a mile.

The Hyatt Regency Cologne beats all US Sheraton properties by a mile.

But then again, neither the Sheraton FRA nor the Hyatt CGN are really that special in comparison to other markets in Asia.
