US has a really nice bag tracking feature on their website where you can simply type in your bag number and see where all its been scanned. Mated with the free access to usair.com on their wi-fi, this is a nice feature.

Hopefully UA is crafting up something similar. This would pretty much make the bag tracking kiosks obsolete for the smartphone carrying public.
