You are right, for the most part it wouldn't make a huge difference, but at times when there is a huge que then it would be a handdy thing to have.
indeed there are times when the "perfect storm" hits with multiple arrivals and the baggage carousels all disgorging bags concurrently when the queue for customs egress can be excessive and an Express Card is very handy indeed. But at those times it can also be difficult just getting to the express lane to exit as the queue of trolleys snakes through the arrivals hall.
