One question about compensation for being bumped from a flight. I've heard that instead of getting cash (under EU regs) they sometimes offer a higher amount in BA Travel Vouchers.
Is the voucher issued in their name and has to be used against a future ticket in their name or can anyone use it?

Work have paid for the ticket and if they take cash, company will probably ask for the money and if vouchers are open or transferable, probably the same.
But if issued to the individuals (who have no other upcoming work flights) they could use them for personal use.

Just wonder if anyone knows how the vouchers are issued?

Thanks
Compensation depends on if it is voluntary or involuntary denied boarding.

For IDB the rules are clear and the compensation mandatory and monetary as listed in the EU Regs.

With VDB it is up to the airline to decide what to offer (could be cash or avios or vouchers)

I've seen a page on the BA website that lists the compensation available so might be worth you having a look at that.
