I'd get two cards...probably the two most popular cards on this forum

1) Chase Sapphire Preferred....2.14 points on travel/dining. After hitting the bonus, use it for solely travel and dining.

2) AMEX SPG....merely 1 pt per dollar spent, but extremely valuable. Use it for all spending not covered by CSP. I got this card before I ever set foot in a SPG hotel. Boy am I pleased! Basically...use it for those stays not related to business where you want to take the wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend on a special stay. Quality offerings across the globe.
