I think it may be (in part) an airliners.net thing where if you don't include the a/c reg number, you're practically banned. Part of it is just the lack of civility the anonymity of the web inspires.
Different strokes for different folks, but around here you should get an A for effort, particularly if you don't regularly write trip reports. I haven't written one for many years, because they're hard, so I'll never criticize anyone's style. I'm thankful that someone takes the time.
