Any suggestions on the bolded part? We are flying SEA-NRT on the 787. Don't care too much about being together but we may as well be close. I ended up changing my flights to a 777-300ER and flew F, but I did a lot of reading up on the 787 J.
If you don't care about being next to eachother, "A" and "K" have the best windows. "C" and "H" have a privacy divider between you and the window (I don't understand why you would ever want privacy from a window). Unfortunately, A/K has the privacy divider facing the aisle, so you and your DH won't be able to see eachother without standing up if you pick those seats.
I think most people agree that the "K" side has the better view on the way to japan, and "A" on the way back from japan. Unfortunately, ANA's habit of privacy dividers blocking the windows, prevented me from appreciating the view.
"F" is the best seat if you don't care about the window at all, as you end up with the largest overall seating area.
