We arrive in IAH at 10:05pm. United provided hotel vouchers (Holiday Inn) for those missing connections. Although 1/2 the plane bolted to another flight with the delay. So the entire upgrade list got upgraded.

Issue was they gave our aircraft to the LAX-NRT flight - apparently some mechanical delay with that aircraft at it origin. Then we took the aircraft from Shanghai which was scheduled to arrive at 3:45. So departure wasn't until around 5pm. I guess I would have made the same decision. Easier to re-accommodate or put the domestic passengers in a hotel.

But the flight was very nice. The 787 is a great aircraft once they get all the bugs worked out.
