Hence it came to the Plan C but I forgot to account for the time needed for Malaysia immigration and the fact that bags must be checked on each flight. Therefore it led to the 3hr 45min transit time not have enough safety margin. So I just paid another $55 to replace the flight to one that departs 2+ hours ealier, giving over 6 hours transit between KLIA and LCCT - that should be sufficient for virtually all co-terminals in the world... LOL.

It is really ridiculous that the 2 terminals are opposite each other on the opposite end of the tarmac and they dont have a better mean of transporting people between the 2 terminals. It is not like a massive size airport like LHR... or HKG.
Do you realise that you can get the Myanmar visa in BKK within a day? Perhaps you can put that back in mind !

In all honesty, your routing is all over the place. Travelling between SIN and JHB during peak Christmas holidays is really no fun. It spells "back to the stone ages". The reason why the LCCT and the main terminal at KLIA was that no body envisioned that Air Asia would succeed the way it did. A new larger LCCT with aerobridges is being built next to KLIA called KLIA2 and that will be the new hub for not only Air Asia but for many other carriers serving KUL too.

You may instead, maybe rent a car in Malaysia and drive up and down each coast. If you were disappointed with Penang, then Malacca will disappoint you more. You may instead opt to drive through Cameron Highlands. Its quaint.

If you were using AVIOS, couldn't you have redeemed an award between SIN and BKI? Or even the Visit Malaysia fares on MH ?
