No, they are not the same, Ancien. Signing up without a referral only gets 50K MR, but with a referral it is a 10K bonus, at 60K.

So, what alc is saying is that the in-law got an in-the-mail offer to signup WITHOUT referral, for 60K! And, because of this, I too wonder if the signup WITH referral will increase from 60K to say 70K. However, I just generated a referral for the Plat, and it is still sitting at 60K.
