This hotel definitely SCREAMS business hotel, so if you are not into that type of setting, then I would definitely suggest staying somewhere else.
The hotel is conveniently located next 90 seconds away from the nearest Paris Metro Stop - Port Maillot, and the Air France shuttle does stop directly across from the hotel. There is also a mall across the street with a few stores and cafes inside. There is a pub around the corner from the hotel, out to the right, where you can find a cheaper alternative to the drinks offered at the hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance of some very good pastry shops as well as the Arc De Triomphe which is an EASY 10 - 15 mins walk away.
The service was incredible and very attentive. Everyone always had great suggestions on things to do, and they always greeted you with a smile.
I too saw the ladies of the night in the area, but they really do not bother you if you don't bother them.
No complaints on my end.
Figured it could use another quick review. Just stayed 5 nights w/ my wife & daughter. Agree with all of the above though we never saw any ladies of the night. I don't think we were out of the hotel past 22:30 so perhaps we got back too early to ever encounter them.
To get to the Metro or RER at Porte Maillot you barely have to brave the elements at all between the overhang on the entrance to the hotel and the overhang on the entrance to the mall. Scamper across 3 lanes and you're out of the rain. Awesome.
The jazz bar charged 8.50 EUR for a Sprite. I expect to pay a little more there, but sheesh.
As an SPG Gold I booked on points 1 room level above the lowest (forgot the term) and also requested a rollaway cot for my daughter, which got us one of the slightly larger rooms at the end of the hall. Window view was of nothing but since we were on the 7th floor we could see the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Only real complaint: the temperature in the room. So darn hot. Admittedly, we like it cold to sleep and the week prior at some podunk hotel in NCE it was also incredibly hot in the room, so maybe it's a French thing or just the wrong time of year. Thankfully they gave us a fan and after the HVAC guy inspected our system he agreed to unlock the window and leave it that way so we could get some fresh air. Probably violated their security or whatever policy in doing so but it saved us from being miserable in the room. ^
Hotel was certainly busy but had a good stay and the location was quite convenient.
