Pretty much
EVA signed agreement with Sanrio and gets to use Hello Kitty/Sanrio family characters images/trademarks/etc...

I believe this is the 2nd agreement already

Whatever an airline can do to be "different" is good, whether one likes Hello Kitty or not. I personally don't mind trying it, but I'm not as crazy as some people to steal every Kitty-item off the airplane
