Mine would be a shoulder handbag I bought at some point in the 90s in a sale on the Kings Road in London, for, if I remember correctly, about £15. This bag is the perfect travel handbag - not too big the airlines pull faces, yet big enough to be useful. It has 2 large clasp closure compartments, which will hold documents, a make up bag, a hairbrush, book, etc. a middle zipped up packet for securely storing passport, wallet, keys, etc. 2 pocket pouches just right for my mobile and a pack of gum. This bag has been with me to the 4 corners of the earth and still looks reasonably ok (a little cracking on the handles, a slight rip on the lining, but nothing you'd notice unless you inspected it!) I have bought several similar bags in more recent years, looking for its replacement, but they all have issues - one the shoulder straps are not comfy, another the whole thing is zippered which means dropping items in, grabbing something out becomes a hassle when your other hand is occupied (like with a suitcase).
