Lounge is permanently closed. I didn't have a chance to go out to the pool, so I'm not sure what that area is.
Breakfast is in the lobby bar for plats. It's rather overpriced at $18, but a good value for plat amenity. Oddly, certificates are issued only for 2 people, which was a small issue when we were waking up at different times. When I asked about getting 2 single certs instead of one cert for 2 people, they suggested we just wait to eat together. I just let it drop, as my jet-lag subsided quickly.
Buffet consists of coffee, tea, orange or cranberry juice, fresh berries, cut melon, papaya and pineapple, yogurt, muffins and scones (amazing scones including green tea!) house-made granola and plain bagels. The odd thing is there is no bread for toast, despite there being toasters for bagels. I asked if they had any whole wheat bread and the attendant said - everyone asks, but they don't want to provide bread. Personally, I really wish there had been some toast, as a scone or bagel is a little heavy for me in the morning, especially when staying several days. They had some boxes behind the bar and were generous with handing them out, even when we'd sat for breakfast and just wanted to take a scone with us.
We tried going upstairs to try the restaurant breakfast one morning. You get an $18 credit, but the choices were continental (choice of 3 items like fruit, toast croissant, etc.) or for $21 2 eggs plus potatoes, toast, choice of meat. Both included OJ, but coffee was $3 extra. The food was good, but slow, so we just opted to eat downstairs after that.
They have plenty of free parking now, although still limited. Although when I was there, they were using many of the handicap spots for unloading supplies and furniture, taking out as many as 10 spots on the morning I was leaving.
The rooms are still about the same, just with even fewer drawers. We had to call to have robes and toiletries like mouthwash or qtips brought up, but they were provided - as was 2 bottles of water on the spg floors.
Hope that helps!
I was at the property in July. The first line of your post confused me. Are you saying they've renovated all the guest rooms? If so is it a full renovation or just soft goods?
