One clerk at AA said we could use the International Lounge at LAX, and another told me that the lounge was exclusively for First Class, not Biz class. Can anyone confirm how they do this at LAX? I wouldn't mind getting there early and having a drink if they'll let us in!

The second clerk is incorrect. There are two lounges: Flagship (First Class) Lounge and the regular Admiral's Club. You go through the regular Admiral's Club before happening across a frosted sliding door to get into the Flagship Lounge. With business class tickets, you can get into the Admiral's Club. There are free well drinks, but not premium alcohol. There are snacks, but more like pretzels and chex mix type. There is fruit punch, coffee, fruit.
If traveling in First, you get access to the Flagship Lounge.
I assume you're traveling AA and don't have status? If you have Executive Platinum status, you can get into the Flagship Lounge.
