I'm not often in a position to ask to go on an earlier flight.

But there was a time at GLA when I was heading back to LHR and got there early enough that the flight before mine was not yet boarding - it was slightly late. I asked the lounge dragon whether I could be moved, pointing out that I knew that my ticket didn't allow it. The answer was no.

Five minutes later, the lounge dragon called me back and said that my own flight was now showing a 5 minute delay. So would I still like to go on the flight that's just starting to board now?
