OP, you just need to call MPC to explain your situation. As long as you have the booking for your Nov flight in the system, they should be happy to extend.
Sorry, I didn't word it that properly. What I meant was OP wanted a reset, so he can take advantage of a full year to take his bi-annual trips without cut off.

But you do raise a good point - many of us has posted here MPO is generally very lenient with providing 1-2 months extensions. However, the risk is 99% of these data points are for qualifying/re-qualifying SL/GO/DM. I don't recall hearing such cases with GR's.

Guess all OP can do is, try to call MPO now and see if they would grant a reset first. Which would obviously be the safer route. If not, then try asking for a 2 month extension at the end of next year.
