On board, I think it's a push. Slight edge to AF, maybe.
On the ground, if Something Goes Wrong, I'd rather be in AMS than CDG, 7 out of 7 days of the week. In AMS, the natives are friendly, speak English and love America (or at least fake it convincingly).
I was stranded in AMS during that big snowstorm in December 2010, booked a room online at the AMS Sheraton (thank you, SPG Cash and Points!) from the KLM Lounge, and rode out the weather over the weekend with the friendly and efficient Dutch.
From the news reports I saw on tv, CDG was pretty much like "Lord of the Flies" by 11AM the following day....
