Abel tasman is really nice too.. easy walks, beach and forest, lots to do kayaking boating. And the Nelson area is very nice... Not as quiet as down south but still nice. Queen Charlotte as well... It's really all beautiful everywhere in new Zealand. On routebourn, we didn't carry water,we could refill from the streams and we didn't see a piece of trash in 3 days. It was awesome
