That is the exception, not the norm.

When it is white it means nothing available - for that part from my experience it's been 100% accurate, but I guess that may be not 100% (but may be only 98% then).

Try HNL-NRT for the same month, August. Aug 14 - 18 are whited out. Try to book it, and you will see that really nothing available, despite 3x (or is it now 2x) daily flights and plenty of revenue seats for sale.

Normally anything available during white out dates is only on non-DL flights, so if it's not during KE blackout periods you may get something during DL's whiteout dates on KE, but otherwise nothing - not on DL, that is.
