I am at LAS right now, and I didn't realize how much presence Allegiant and Spirit have over here. US abandoning LAS may not be WN alone but with all the ULCCs. This could happen in PHX. I was bummed when LAS was dehubbed. Hope PHX is not hit as hard.
I suspect LAS was dehubbed primarily for being a leisure destination (low fares) and its proximity to PHX.

I'm thinking US wasn't seeing enough traffic to support two hubs, so one had to go. For the reasons above, it made more sense to dump LAS than PHX.
