You probably got shunted to a Pre Check lane, there have been reports of this happening here and there when the Premier lanes get clogged up, TSA agents have been throwing people at random into Pre Check lanes.
If you ask me, it defeats the purpose of Pre Check, but I would prefer a return to Pre 9/11 security myself across the board so I don't really care.
