I don't believe BA/AA had to give up anything in New York. I read it as being required only if competition fell below 13 flights. Regarding the BOS slot they are calling for applications for - this is the second slot that AA and BA had to give up, which DL no longer uses. The one DL uses does not look to be up for application, but perhaps DL/VS would consider it.
