Only you can answer if it's worth it or not. For me, access to the *G check-in, lounge access and the chance to play Aerolotto would be worth it. But that's me.

You can book a tango fare, when Porter has its sale (then AC will match the fare). You will get 25% AQM (status miles). So, YOW-YYZ will not get you the 400 miles - but YOW-YYZ-X (where X is a destination also served by Porter) will get you 500AQMs. and likely will be cheaper then the cost quoted above.

Conversely, book a Flex fare one way between Y0W-YYZ (you get 500 AQMs), and then go the other way, perhaps on the VIA train (economy class) - the economy fare is often cheaper than the fees and taxes for a paid revenue or award ticket between the 2 cities.
