Yeah, I quite like the way they do it too, and it is reasonably understated in my experience.

That said, I once had the "pleasure" of having to fly the kangaroo route in full in Y at short notice (not fun). I was greeted by name before takeoff on each leg and told how much my business was valued.

This perplexed the Y pax sat next to me, one of whom asked "Are you famous or something?"

I resisted the temptation to say "If I was famous, do you think I'd be flying in economy?!" Thankfully the reduced amount of booze in Y prevented this outcome
