Was on Cathay yesterday hopping down from ICN to HKG. 777 in medium haul formation - cabin not in great condition but still good sized J cradle seats.

Called by name throughout - excellent quality food and drink for a 3.5 hour flight. However after the starter I fell asleep, to wake up as most other trays were being cleared. When the cabin crew saw I had woken up, they asked me what I wanted for a main course. I asked if there was any choice remaining as everyone else had now been served and tables were being cleared.

"Oh yes, Mr. TT1F. We made sure that we kept one of every choice for you, as a valued Emerald passenger". The guy next to me then confirmed this with a wry smile as he had been asked to take a second choice!

The cheese plate was better than the cheese plate on my outbound in BA F.

As has been said many times on this board, CX can be very very good..
