Well I lucked out.. I was able to change each of the flights for only $50 pp and was told there is a refund availability due to health issues for changing the flight. So we have already requested a form from my husband's Dr./Surgeon.

Can someone explain the last part of this policy for me?
If your refund request is approved, a refund, minus a $50 USD processing fee*, will be provided to the original form of payment.

This policy applies in the following cases:
Death of the traveler, traveling companion or immediate family member
Travelers in the reservation actively on jury duty during the dates of planned travel
Certain illness situations
