And, interestingly enough, the US doesn't have outgoing passport control, per se.

Someone pointed out in another thread that there's all sorts of checking going on behind the scenes, but there is no physical immigration officer passport handover, get stamped, etc. on the way out of the country.

I seem to recall the UK being similar?
