I must agree that it's not easy at all to find transatlantic award availability in J or F on AA metal. I was hoping to fly the new 77W but I finally settled for IB. The new A330 seems very good, flatbed seats in J.
If you would opt for IB:
- You can check availability using the Qantas site
- You have to book using AA customer service
- IB does not charge YQ (opposed to BA)
- Availability on IB was wide open (i was checking about 11 months up front as soon as it becomes available, IB seems to load his availability even longer upfront)
