I know. It was the Plan A. The border crossing hassle and the time it took, plus the time it took from Malacca to LCCT (3 hours because there is only one company serves this route and it makes a stop in a mega resort or some place like that en-route to LCCT - so the trip is LONGER than the bus just to KL.), makes an overnight stay at Malacca totally impractical as a lot of time would be wasted just on the bus rides.

Hence it came to the Plan C but I forgot to account for the time needed for Malaysia immigration and the fact that bags must be checked on each flight. Therefore it led to the 3hr 45min transit time not have enough safety margin. So I just paid another $55 to replace the flight to one that departs 2+ hours ealier, giving over 6 hours transit between KLIA and LCCT - that should be sufficient for virtually all co-terminals in the world... LOL.
