85 minutes International to International Connection - would you risk it?
I have travelled via JNB many times to Botswana but never had a tight transfer on the outbound journey. However, I am looking at arriving into JNB at 1020 (LX flight from Zurich) and connecting to the 1145 SA Air Link flight to Maun (probably separate ticket)! If I am travelling with no checked luggage, can I go directly to flight transfers and pick up my SA Air Link boarding pass and continue to the departures area?
I am aware of the risks of doing this on 2 separate tickets but wondered more about the mechanics of transferring International-to-International at JNB. If availability appears on the earlier LH arrival then I will go for that (less comfortable business class but more comfortable 125 minute connection time).
