I discovered a small cockroach crawling from the kettle at Crowne Plaza at Surfers Paradise.

I just simply went to front desk and asked for a can of fly spray... I would deal with the problem myself...

They were quite apologetic and offered a free breakfast, but I didn't have time to take it up in any case. They were pleased that I "didn't fuss about it".

If there were heaps of large cockroaches then I might simply ask to move rooms...
