TSA at TTN able to handle increased passenger load?

I've been fortunate with my RDU flights at Trenton arriving about 2 hours ahead of my flight and not having much of a line at security, but this morning it was a little closer call for me, getting there 70 minutes before the flight. It shouldn't be an issue but the line at TSA went back to the base of the steps... and it moved slowly. At one point an older passenger in a wheelchair needing assistance came up and I don't know what the conversation was but something was at an impasse and the queue stopped for 7-8 minutes with all the other TSA people standing idle and finally one of the uniform gentlemen coming over to start checking tickets and getting the line to begin moving again. By this time boarding was taking place and you could see security visibly working to get everybody through. The gate agent came over and took my ticket as I was putting on my shoes after getting my carryon off the conveyor belt. Clearly it was getting tight having all the RDU people through security and checked in.

So my question for those of you who have flown out of TTN - Is this your experience? Do you find security playing a bit of catchup the way I did today or is this a departure from the norm?
