Interlining bags question

I'm traveling from a relatively small European airport (KRK) on an award ticket to MUC-BKK with Lufthansa and Thai Airlines.

I'd like to book a separate ticket BKK-REP on Bangkok Airways which does have an interline agreement with TG. The flight will be the same day as arrival into BKK, about 5 hours later.

Does this mean I'm allowed to have them check through the bag all the way to REP? How about baggage fees for the BKK-REP segment? Any advice for handling the KRK check-in agents? They are very inconsistent in my experience and are more often confused by complicated itineraries.

If I can't interline them, is 5 hours plenty of time to collect my bags and re-check in at BKK? I will be traveling in TG F.
