But if they were expecting to pay for an economy fare, they will probably notice the exorbitant premium CX often charges for PEY!

Seriously, though, I've done this a couple times. I've even had the TA charge the company's portion to one card (my corporate card) and my portion to a personal card. I suspect many TAs encounter this request periodically and shouldn't bat an eye.
