12 day rough draft or at least good start itinerary for Japan
Hello all. I've been quite busy with work over the past 3 months and have honestly slacked off completely in research and preparation until the last minute. This is leading me to scramble to find a hotel one of my nights, but since I am quite friendly and enjoy a cocktail or 8 I'm sure I'll be fine wherever I land (anyone know bars without closing times in Hiroshima?)
As of purchasing a b-line data sim 30 minutes ago and JR Pass yesterday I declare my trip planning mostly complete. Nothing is set in stone and I may end up in weird places instead of where I intended but that's some of the fun isn't it? Here's what I am planning on doing, if anyone has suggestions or must do's for a early 30's guy that isn't there just to see temples but to also just experience new things let me know.
11/17 - OMA->DEN->LAX->ICN->KIX (Asiana F!)
11/18 - Arrive KIX 20:50 - train to Hilton Osaka.
11/19 - Acclimate and explore Osaka more
11/20 - Nara/Kyoto
11/21 - back to Kyoto
11/22 - train to Fukuoka for Sumo match
11/23 - train to Hiroshima (peace park, A Bomb dome) I don't have a hotel yet this night since Labor Day seems to have booked everything up. I plan to see what opens up or just stay up all night and take the early train
11/24 - train to Kobe (head to Arima to relax) Any suggestions for real Kobe beef dinner?
11/25-11/29 - train to Tokyo. Checkin Conrad Hilton. Only things planned are an afternoon at akihabra, Tuna auction on Tuesday morning, bar hopping in roppongi, and I'm supposed to go to the Robot Restaraunt in Shinjuku and take pictures. Other than that I'll go where it sounds interesting.
11/29 - NRT->ORD->OMA (ANA F!)
