I just priced it in Y on Matrix and it is $1,390.60 USD.

On Matrix you often have to specify a time frame to bring up the exact flights you want.

Regarding my reply above I have just rechecked everything and see some problems.

Unfortunately the Matrix website does not seem to be up-to-date as to available seats, particularly AC's Tango and Flex fares.

First, I had not realised that you are probably living in HK and need prices in HK$.

The fare right now at 1330EST Sunday for your itinerary as per the Air Canada website is: 14,940HKD, about CA$1,960, based upon available seats. (January 5th YVR to HK is already very heavily booked.)

This puts you in Premium Economy on AC7 returning to HKG - which by a strange quirk is actually cheaper than economy at this time for Jan 5th.

Please be aware that AC7&8 are operated by a new B777 which you may see referred to as 77HD, a somewhat cramped sardine flight.
