There is a security check in SNN but it's a bit strange - shoes off (unless you are elderly) but everything can stay in your bags, so none of the usual laptop / liquids routine. I'd probably keep any duty frees in the shop's sealed bag with receipt visible (and declared on the form) but it's all very laid back.
Whilst it is laid back it is the only airport where I have ever faced secondary questioning by US CBP.
